I have never regarded  myself  as an architect, but one night at a BCIT course, I heard from my professor Mr. Klassen that he has never been certified or licensed by any associations or organizations, but has designed houses all the time because he is qualified. It inspired me; I won’t be scared off by those tricky designations and how to get one. I have done house designing before, and I think I will continue to do so…

My design experience began when I joined Jalcon Homes- a custom design and build company based in Auckland as a Design & Build consultant in 2007. My role was really a communication bridge between client and architect, when I realized the cultural and language barrier sometimes is really hard to conquer I decided to draft house plan and plan change myself before finalizing all details with architect. I found it works.

My First Project

My first project was on a sloped site next to our Harrowglen showhome. The clients were a young couple who driving BMW M3, needless to say, the final plan reflected their characters-modern and fashion. The house was designed by Cameron B and I drafted it with ArchiCAD.
